MARCHING ZOMBIES!

Here's a frightful fearjerker for you: "Marching Zombies" from BLACK CAT MYSTERY #35 (Harvey, May 1952). A wild and bizarre tale about zombies in -- of all places -- Asia. Illustrated by the incomparable Rudy Palais, this is one of those stories that helped give pre-Code horror comics a bad rap.

All the stories in this issue were reprinted in BLACK CAT MYSTERY #53 (December 1954).

HAG OF THE HILLS IN B&W AND COLOR

Due to the low quality in which comic books were printed, sometimes its better to see the artwork before it was subjected to the unforgiving four-color offset press.

Such is the case with this story from CHAMBER OF CHILLS #21 (Harvey, June 1951). The original art is pencilled by Bob Powell and inked by Howard Nostrand and shows the detail in which these to masterful artist put into "The Old Hag of the Hills".

Now up for bid at Heritage Auctions, Austin TX, this nine-page story is currently standing at $572.
