GENERAL ORDERING INFORMATION
  • All items listed here are from my private collection.
  • Payment methods: PayPal and credit cards – no cash, checks, money orders or other forms of payment is accepted.
  • Shipping costs: $11.95 flat rate for any size order. All orders are packaged securely, insured and shipped through the United States Postal Service.
  • Items are shipped to the continental United States only.
  • Orders normally ship within 48 hours.
  • All sales are final – no returns accepted.
  • All comics are carefully packaged in certified archival-quality bags and boards. None have been CGC "slabbed", so you can actually read them!
  • Comic book cover images are scanned at 300 dpi and have not been modified or re-touched. Click on the image for a larger view.
  • IMPORTANT: Old comic books are delicate and as a result they should be handled with great care to prevent accidental damage.
  • NOTE: Address all inquires using the Contact Form on the sidebar of the main page.
HOW TO ORDER
  • After choosing the item(s) you want, send a request for purchase using the contact form on the sidebar of the main page. You will receive an email reply (normally within 24 hrs.) with an attached invoice with an order confirmation. Make your payment to PayPal or use a credit card. DO NOT make a payment until you receive an invoice.
  • After your payment is verified, you will receive an email confirmation. Your order will then be packaged and shipped, usually within 48 hours.
  • If your payment is not received and verified within 24 hrs. from the date of the invoice, your order will be cancelled.
  • Orders are filled on a first come-first served basis. If an item is out of stock or no longer unavailable you will be notified via email.
  • NOTE: The seller has the right to cancel an order any time before a payment is verified.

CHILLING TALES #13 (Youthful, December 1952). Cover by Matt Fox. Condition: Fair. Cover creases; archival transparent tape on spine; staples pulling away from interior; off-white pages; no page tears. This is the first issue of the re-titled series that continues from Beware #12. Includes the story "The Hand of Glory" illustrated by Matt Fox. NOTE: A non-slabbed Fair condition copy of this issue was auctioned in May 2024 for $192 with a re-sell offer from the buyer of $309. Price: $170.00.


DIARY OF HORROR #1 (Avon Periodicals, Inc., 1952). Cover by Alvin (A.C.) Hollingsworth. Condition: Fair. Cover creases, small tears front/back covers; 1/4 chip missing from bottom right front cover; some spine roll; off-white; no page tears. Interior art by Everett Raymond Kinstler, Norman Nodel, Vince Alascia, Charles Nicholas and Hollingsworth. Price: $220.00.


FRANKENSTEIN #21 (Feature Publications/Prize, Oct./Nov. 1952). Cover by Dick Briefer. Condition: Very Good. Small bump on lower left spine; off-white pages; no page tears. A very nice copy! Interior art by Dick Briefer. Price: $155.00.


GHOST #1 (Fiction House, 1951). Cover by Maurice Whitman. Condition: Good-. Top left of spine has some minor chipping and is split about 2"; tiny chip out of bottom right cover; off-white pages; no page tears, o/w in good condition. Behind the great Whitman good girl cover art are stories illustrated by the Eisner and Iger Studios. Price: $160.00.


GHOST #10 (Fiction House, 1954). Cover by Maurice Whitman. Condition: Good-. "OK" in pencil on front cover title; wear to spine; staples pulling away from cover but still intact, off-white pages, no page tears, o/w in good condition. Another good girl cover by Whitman. Art by John "Bell" Belcastro, Bill Benulis, A. Albert and (possibly) Jerry Grandenetti. Price: $145.00.


HOUSE OF TERROR, THE #1 (St. John, October 1953). Cover artist: Joe Kubert. Condition: Poor. Chips to cover and spine; some cover soiling; center pages loose, off-white pages. Mostly reprints from other St. John titles converted to 3-D images. Art by Kubert and Enrico Bagnoli. NOTE: 3-D glasses are included, but are not the originals. Special price: $15.00.


JUMBO COMICS #163 (Fiction House, September 1952). Cover artist: Unknown. Condition: Fair+. Spine wear, small chips and tears on front cover, small tear back cover, small water stains on bottom of inside front cover; off-white pages, no page tears. "The Ghost Gallery" and "Sheena" stories. Sale Price: $65.00.


MONSTER, THE #1 (Fiction House, January1953). Cover artist: Maurice Whitman. Condition: Very Good. A barely noticeable 1/2" tear on the top front cover; off-white pages, no page tears, o/w this book is in really good shape for its age. Art by Anthony D'Adamo, the Iger Shop and (possibly) Jerry Grandenetti. A slabbed CGC-graded 4.5 copy of this issue was auctioned in March 2024 for $336 with a re-sell offer from the buyer of $426. Price: $365.00.


MONSTER, THE #2 (Fiction House, June 1953). Cover artist: Maurice Whitman. Condition: Poor. Cover and pages are loose, o/w no other damage; off-white pages. Sale price: $45.00.


STRANGE FANTASY #9 (Farrell, December 1953). Cover artist: Iger Shop. Condition: Fine. The cover has retained considerable gloss. No tears or chips on cover or pages. Page color is barely off-white. A solid book. NOTE: This is a variant copy that contains reprints of Harvey Publications' Black Cat. Price: $425.00.


THING, THE #16 (Charlton, September 1954). Cover artist: Steve Kirkel? Condition: Very Good. Cover has some slight wrinkling near the spine and one small crease on the bottom right corner; staples are still tight; off-white pages. Art by: Dick Ayers. NOTE: This issue has a classic "injury to the eye" panel, but is erroneously credited as having been referenced in Dr. Fredric Wertham's Seduction of the Innocent as it appeared on the stands after the book was published. Price: $155.00.


WEIRD HORRORS #1 (St. John, June 1952). Cover artists: Gus Ricca; George Tuska; Charles Sultan. Condition: Good-. Top of cover shows some wear; moderate spine wear; staples pulling away from cover, but still intact; off-white pages, o/w in good shape. Art by: George Tuska, Bob Forgione, Gus Ricca, others. WEIRD HORRORS #2 (St. John, August 1952). Cover artist: Unkown. Condition: Poor. Cover loose from pages; ink writing on cover title; cover printed off-center; off-white pages. A good reading copy. Art by: Enrico Bagnoli, Bob Forgione, others. Special price: $15.00.


WEIRD THRILLERS #1 (Ziff-Davis, September/October 1951). Cover artist: Photo cover w/superimposed image of horror actor Rondo "The Creeper" Hatton. Condition: Good-. One staple off-set on front cover; some wear showing to cover edges; staples wearing away from inside pages, but still intact; small chip out of bottom back cover; no page tears; off-white pages. Art by: Pete Morisi, Ross Andru, Bob Powell (possibly) and others. Price: $100.00.
