EC Comics were popular for a number of reasons; one of them was the formation of a National club to bring readers together as a kind of community.The EC Fan-Addicts Club was launched in 1953 and promoted through their various publications. JACK DAVIS' FIRST EC HORROR COMIC COVER

The great Jack Davis had already done plenty of work for EC Comics, but shown here is the first of his horror comics covers for them. His trademark signature with his name in a circle is on this issue of TALES FROM THE CRYPT #25 (April/May 1952).
