A HALLOWEEN HORROR SUSPENSTORY

GOOD LORD! Here's a grisly tale from EC's SHOCK SUSPENSTORIES #2 (April-May 1952) that only Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein could think up for Graham Ingels to illustrate. Colors are by Marie Severin and lettering by Jim and Margaret Wroten.

Happy Halloween, everybody!

  1. Ugh! Now that's pure "Ghastly" through and through. I'm thinking of reading those "subversive" EC Comics next year to not only entertain myself but to remind me that freedom of expression, even when its ugly and scary is a core value of my country and must remain so.

Happy Halloween and thanks for the many fine posts you make throughout the year.

  2. For all the talent that EC had in its stable of creative talent, Ingels was best suited for their horror stories I think. The guy just made creepy art. And, thank you for the nice words, kind sir.
